Yes It was a Mega Apprentice Episode..... March 2007

If you were amongst the millions that watched the first episode of the Apprentice we think you will agree it is going to be a riveting watch. Pitty for Andy the first to be fired, nice guy, but Sir Alan was correct to fire Andy particularly as Andy decided to “Shut the Van”

It normally takes 4-6 hours to give someone a basic training on a Coffee Mega we had 30 minutes including a driving course!

“How many cups can you do?” “50-60 an hour replied our leader” The boys (Tre and Andy) managed 55 in their first hour and this was being out side Starbucks and with 13 coffee shops in the immediate vicinity, why were they pulled away from such a fantastic location…Bad mistake Jadine. But then they went on to do 30 in only 20 minutes even with Jadine still moaning at them.

Who do we think was the star of the first episode ….well the “Van” of course

NEW REFRIGERATED MEGA
Towability are very excited in this new concept of delivering food. Constructed on an electric Mega, this refrigerated unit runs from a very sophisticated refrigerated system from Zanotti, with a temperature range of -1oC to +6oC.
If you are not familiar with the Mega, this quirky vehicles carries two people comfortably at speeds of around 40mph. It’s looks are sure to get attention wherever it goes making it a very suitable vehicle for delivering sandwiches etc.
Originally built as a mobile coffee unit, the Mega has metomorphasized into a whole host of different units serving foods such as crepes, hot dogs and even an advertising vehicle.
The vehicle above has recently been built for a well known sandwich and coffee retailer. They were keen to get a vehicle that was environmentally friendly and cost effective.
They realised that using the electric Mega meant that they could avoid the congestion and parking charge in London, and benefits from very low running costs - an absolute winner.

NEW RICE COOKER/BAINS MARIE
Towability are very excited about a new piece of equipment that will make cooking foods easy. It's predominantly a rice cooker, LPG, but we've adapted it to take gastronome containers therefore making it a very cost effective, cooker and bains marie. The bowl has a 30 litre capacity and recently, a customer claimed that she was able to cook her chili con carnie from scratch, and was ready to serve in 20 minutes, then on low heat the cooker acted as a bains marie to keep the food hot and fresh.
